Colin Alston is president and owner of Alston Construction Inc
With over 30 years of construction
experience in residential, commercial and civil (heavy construction) Colin has a broad experience of the many varied worldwide
construction techniques, from housing developments to bridge building, dams and nuclear power stations to name just a
few projects.
Colin has a wealth of knowledge in construction as a Hands On Builder. Infact he
has always said "There is no substitute for experience" because the boss needs to know what all trades
are supposed to do, and having worked along side all trades for years, it becomes obvious what should be done, to get the job
done RIGHT.
Born and raised in England he began his career in construction at the age of 16 years old as an apprentice
carpenter/joiner for a leading North England home builder in the Border City of Carlisle in the county of Cumberland which
later became known as Cumbria. He qualified as a "Master Carpenter" Colin later went on to teach construction
at Carlisle Technical College, teaching as he had learned, the practices and principles of residential and commercial
construction.
